Frankfurt!

We left San Francisco over an hour late...loading baggage took a while so we missed our connecting flight in Frankfurt.  That means I get to see Frankfurt!  It is almost 2:00 p.m. here and hot!  My favorite :)....but our flight doesn't leave for Addis now until 10:00 p.m. and I'm excited!  We had McDonalds and the rest of the group decided to stay in the airport.  Hope I get some good pictures and adventures to share.

Phone, atm, office and shelter - my little world!

1/14/15 Happy Wednesday!   I am feeling a bit more ‘settled’ today.   I got a SIM card for my phone and opened a bank account last week.   But the ‘data’ part of the phone wasn’t working (that’s why I have a smart phone right?!) and I didn’t have an ATM/Visa card so I couldn’t use the funds in my bank.   So I was thinking that everything was kind of useless J .   I received my ATM/Visa card yesterday in the mail so Bob and I went back to the mall and got that activated and working as well as the data on my phone --- so now I feel like a functioning person.   Weird maybe but it makes a difference to have some simple things taken care of in my little world. I have also started setting up the office where I am working so that feels a little comforting as well. Oh how I do love life.   Life is good, God is better! 1.     Budapest home 2 weeks already…and I get back into my apartment today.   A new family arrived while I was away so they have been staying there which worked out great.   2.     I have some great friends here – so willing to take me in, feed, love, and encourage me.   Thank you! 3.     I was going to turn right on a red light yesterday – then I remembered where I was.   You don’t do that here in Hungary. 4.     Today?...today I am taking a quick trip to Vienna, bringing a colleague to pick up his ‘new’ car.   Quick trip to Vienna – WOW.   Amazing.   Sitting in Starbucks right now in Vienna J .   Yes, I do love life. 5.     Valentine’s and Ash Wednesday all on the same day.   Doing the ’40 Acts’ for Lent…https://40acts.org.uk and then Easter is April 1 st – no joke!   Crazy. 6.  ...

2 and 2017:)

New year…new me?   Probably not to be totally honest but I do like how 2017 is going so far. I have been living in Hungary for two years.   Now who would have ever believed that when I took off from my amazing company and job of 27 years back in November 2013 that I would have lived six months in Poland, spent six months back in U.S. and then moved to Hungary for two years but planning/hoping on three!? I’m here to tell you – I love how life moves along.   And again to be totally honest, I love moving along with it.
