Home...again?!

Ahhhh…Paris airport, which means I am almost home!   It makes me happy   – and I had such a great time at my other homes…in the US J . 1.     January – usually not my favorite month but this year it was quite good – note to self…traveling, speaking, seeing family, friends and getting to know new people is a good idea for this time of year! 2.     Different plug in – love those converters! 3.     Unknown languages again…here we go. 4.     Excited to reconnect with friends and family on this side of the world – Hungarians are good folks. 5.     Treasure many good times with friends and family over the past 6 weeks – truly quite an amazing time.   People are incredible – kind, good, interesting, different and it is all so good! 6.     Airlines and their baggage limits and weights – I get it but boy howdy, it is a bummer when you have a lot of stuff to bring back! 7.   Life is good, God is better! Rain and driving observations

Yep – it’s raining here in the Portland area!   Surprise J , sure makes it pretty.   I’ve got a good week going - happy Wednesday! Did you know… 1.      Stop lights – in Europe a yellow light shows before it turns red AND green.   It is still shocking when I see a light go from red to green….GO! 2.      Distance signs – Read from top to bottom or bottom to top?    In Hungary, the closest city/town is listed at the bottom going to the furthest city/town on the top.   Here? – Closest city/town is on top going to the furthest city/town at the bottom. 3.      I don’t think I’ve ever seen a carpool lane in Hungary… 4.      I have not taken public transport since I’ve been in the US...strange for me:) 5.     Life is good, God is better. Snip-its for 2018

I’m still all about giving…I believe it puts the focus on others instead of us and changes our point of view on a moment-by-moment, hour-by-hour and day-by-day basis.     So…. yes let us give! But my theory on blogging is more ‘snipit’ blogging…experiences, thoughts on a more daily/weekly basis.   So here are my thoughts for this week… 1.      I love being in California where I can pick fresh oranges and lemons.   Oh man…that does a mind and body good! 2.      I am a bit sad as I drove by my previous home in Sacramento today and it was completely torn down!   Wow…just parked there for a bit soaking that in.   I loved that little house…the wood floors, re-doing the kitchen, the deck built by cousins…but alas; after all, it was just a house. 3.      I miss Budapest…I will be ‘home’ 20 days from now.   What do I miss?   My English bulldog named Dude, the kids at English club, the group from English B
